About Us

At RESTORATION COMMUNITY CHURCH, as with God's table, everyone is welcome, no questions or explanations needed. We don't care what you wear, what part of town you live in, or who you choose to vote for. Our Christian church is focused on building a relationship with God and strengthening the spiritual bonds with our neighbors and community.  We are a non-denominationl church in the tradition of the acapella Churches of Christ and Independent Christian Churches from the historic American Restoration Movement and we serve alongside all of those who would lift up the name of Jesus.

Our History

In the early to mid-19th century, the town of Kingston, Massachusetts, flourished as a center for shipbuilding. Our historic building was crafted by those ship builders. After some time of neglect we took part in beginning to give it a facelift.  It was pretty exciting to be a part of restoring such a beautiful landmark as restoration is such an important theme for us: restoring community, restoring relationships, restoring hope... Jesus puts it this way, "I am making all things new" (Revelation 21:5).

Our Vision

We believe that Jesus is real and living in the Christian community. He makes life and relationships better. As believers in the 21st century, however, we oftentimes get busy and lose sight of community. We tend to overlook caring for our world, both physically and emotionally. We want to change this way of living and aim to restore a tight-knit community through practical application of the timeless message found in scripture.

Our Difference

We won't assume you have it all together if you won't assume the same about us. In fact, we believe this is one of the most remarkable things about God. He invites us to work with Him in spite of our shortcomings. When you think about it, it's really not about us. It's about God. We get the opportunity to share in the work but God always receives the credit.
